My bad meant 5th Season.

I re-watched seasons one and two over the last few days, and I realized season 4 was far worse than I initially thought. Everything that made Dexter interesting and engaging in the first 2 seasons is absent in the most recent season. I hope karma comes around in season 5. Could make the show interesting again.

Yeah, S1 was the best from what I remember. I'll check it out again though. Most, if not all shows are like that anyways (Lost, Heroes, Weeds, Californication....).

"Dexter" star battling cancer Module body

Thu Jan 14, 2:50 AM

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Michael C. Hall, who plays a serial killer in the TV series "Dexter," said on Wednesday that he has been battling cancer but the treatment is almost finished and the disease is in remission.

The 38-year-old actor said in a media statement that he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, a treatable cancer of the lymphatic system. He did not say when the diagnosis was made.

"I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care," Hall said.

His spokesman Craig Bankey said in the statement reported by People magazine that Hall's cancer is in remission and the actor will continue treatment as planned.

Hall plans to go with his wife and "Dexter" co-star Jennifer Carpenter, who plays his sister in the series, to the Golden Globe awards being held in Los Angeles on Sunday where he's nominated for best dramatic actor and the show as best drama.

Hall also plans to attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards the following weekend where he and the cast are also nominees.

Bankey said Hall planned to make the fifth series of the Showtime drama "Dexter" later this year.

In the show, Hall plays Dexter Morgan, a Miami police analyst who moonlights as a serial killer targeting sociopaths.

so, dexter's a better killer than cancer.... i really don't know what they can do next season.

I actually liked Season 4, though there were WAY too many touching moments and eye rolling romantic subplots.

I liked the fact that Dexter juggling all these things finally spun out of control.

The finale was incredibly rushed at the end and horribly delivered (not to mention cheesy symbolism), but I think it is what the show needed.

this thread needs bumping. haven't seen the season 5 premiere yet but I'm excited!!

Watched the season 5 premiere. It was... ok. Depressing but not much happened, and it was a little too cheesy for me.

I actually LOL'ed when Dexter told the kids about their mom. Seems like that could have been acted out a bit better. I know its showing Dexter really has no life in him, but it was kind of half-assed.

the first episode of the new season was pretty weak, it wasn't terrible though. It feels like Part 2 of last season's finale. I always feel like the pacing in Dexter episodes is off. I feel like all the important things occur within the last 10-15 mins of each episode.

Yeah... it was pretty bad.

I wasn't sure if I was watching the season premiere of Dexter or a brand new show on HBO called Emo Serial Killer. All Michael C. Hall needed was a Matchbook Romance t-shirt and he would have been set.

if the next episode doesn't get things going, i think i'm giving up on the show. The first two episodes of this season have been pretty unimpressive.
