Question re Pandora

Is it possible to only play one or two songs from an artist within Pandora?

For example, I hate pretty much every Katy Perry song except for E.T. ... so is there any way to manage this in Pandora? From what I gather, once you thumbs down an artist within a given station twice, you effectively ban him/her.

use grooveshark instead. you can pick EXACTLY which tracks you want to play.

that is exactly why i hate pandora...you pick an artist...hear one of their songs and you don't hear them again for 8-10 songs.

in that regard, last.fm is much better.

just checked out grooveshark.... where have you been all my life?!?!? thanks for the recommendation!

I've been having a similar but different problem myself. I get it on my TV and when I ask for a specific song I either get something else by that artist or a cover of that particular song. Its fucking annoying.

I was under the impression that they did this kind of thing on purpose

yeah that's their marketing scheme... it's how they get to keep the cost down
