More into tactical Japanese outdoor clothing. Less into j-crew variants.

Becoming a full-on drapist. No more tuight tees, loose ones are much more flattering. Also goes better with bulky hitops.

Since I'm bordering on broke and jobless, I can't really do much to aquire new stuff, but i'm trying to focus in on a few directions more by cutting out everything in between them. my problem is I have trouble wasting or simply donating stuff away, so I've decided to spend the next couple of months looking shitty so I can "wear out" / get some good use out of all the stuff I want to junk. So I'm going to be wearing a random assortment of stuff in teh hopes that I'll remember why I don't like it and not feel so bad about getting rid of stuff that isn't all that worn out or that I didn't really even wear that much. I assume this frustration/resentment will build and allow me to give myself permission to throw out this stuff and start wearing all the 'good' stuff I've been storing away. as for the styles, still experimenting a little but I'm looking to refine my somewhat prep side and within a few years convert it into more of a sleek minimalist direction (ie pinkpanster to SQ4U). Then there's the new direction which is scruffy beard, shaggy hair, broken in boots, cargos and thick sweaters, ie a somewhat military inspired look.

^the only time i was able to grow my hair out was when i had no money. wish i'd kept at it. have fun experimenting and good luck with your future prospects. i have some nice stuff i've never worn but don't fit into anymore. i hate it when that happens so i'm trying to lose a couple of inches and wear stuff from 2008 or so.

Less workwear & prep - more "edgy" pieces = less EG & BoO - more Geller

And I've been really getting into vintage tees again...haven't been into vintage tees since 2004

I am headed for an increasingly casual look WITH a shirt and tie.

Thought about my style just recently. I never wear a shirt without a tie. I hate the shirt w/o a tie look (unless you are a manual workman in a workshirt). I have cultivated a casual shirt and tie look for going out on casual get togethers and weekends. My family, friends and office crew have never seen me in a shirt w/o a tie in a dozen plus years. If I want to wear something with a collar without a tie it is a polo type shirt. Otherwise you'll find me wearing the typical t-shirt thing.

Overall people dress like crap - men and women, young and old. But once in a rare while I'll see a young fellow or gal with real style taking pride in how they look and come across. (I'm NOT young, myself.) So refreshing when that happens. And you know what? I sense and see other people enjoying it as well - even those who won't or are not able to dress better.

Less denim, no trainers, more sleek shirts and wool trousers while trying to avoid looking like a gigantic tool. Like Hauschka:

With good deep plum and teal accents and sexy black shoes.

As for closet, trying to keep it as minimalistic as possible. 1 pair of dress shoes, 1 pair of boots, 2 sneakers (one dark, one light), 2 pairs of jeans (one dark, one light), 1-2 spring jackets, 1-2 winter jackets, etc.

If I haven't worn it in the last year or I don't think I will wear it soon, it goes on sale or it's given to friends. Any new gear can only be kop'd if it replaces something old, that will be sold. Basically, have a rotating small closet, where 90% of it will get wear. Cuts down on impulse buys, and helps me rationalize getting more pricey stuff.
