haha there was an older, what i'll call fashionable woman standing facing me on the subway this morning reading that and she kept staring at me and my shoes trying to figure it all out. (was wearing vintage BB longwings, but to be fair they're part of my "making fun of americana" looks, leading to her confusion i guess)
