Well, sizing up is not magic. Shoes come in lengths and widths. So that foot may need to be fitted longer and tighter (or narrower). The leather may indeed be poor quality or mismatched for quality but while creasing would occur and be worse on the shoe that had the poor quality leather, it would not necessarily be creasing at an angle. And the way in which it creased would not look so apparently like there was more leather over the joint than there needed to be.

I have the same problem - one foot slightly bigger than the other. I buy shoes that fit my larger foot, and just put in the other an insole. Problem solved.

for the creases you could try pre crease them ? lol
