Weight loss conundrum; clothing sizes

At 5'10", and a body that tends to put most of its fat around the middle, 10 lbs of weight fluctuation REALLY changes the dimensions of my mid-section and thus my jackets and pants.

I suppose that the solution should be to "pick a weight and stick to it," but to the extent I haven't over the past few years, at any given time I seem to have really nice clothing that is either too big or too small for me.

I'm back down a bit in weight after really paying attention to exercise and food intake for a while (184 on the scale, down from the low 190's just a couple of months ago) and pants I bought just a month ago are a bit big in the waist. I'd say that 10 lbs on the scale is over about 1 1/2 inches in waist size At this weight, some of the nice sports jackets I bought this winter are looking a little baggy too.

I need to label my hangars with waist sizes or something, as it's frustrating to try something on and find it unwearably big, or small. I'm not sure if I'm looking for advice, but rather just venting.

you should sell the clothing that doesnt fit....if its my size, you should sell it at a HUGE discount. thats just my advice. hahaha

Solution, buy clothes that fit you tight so you're forced to watch your weight or you will wind up looking like fat guy in a little coat. The weight that you are putting on is going to your midsection probably because you're not exercising or lifting weights.

When I'm in a weight gain mode, it's certainly NOT because I'm lifting a ton and building muscle mass Yes, it coincides with periods without exercise.

(And when I do exercise regularly, it's a mix of strength training and cardio endurance.)

I'm probably not one to talk, but you can just try to stay more active and be around 180 lbs But I understand your problems, I have kind of weird proportions and any weight change above like 10 lbs changes the way my clothes fit drastically.
