I note that in the opening pair of photos, in the right-hand photo intended to illustrate the lounge suit, a couple of the young men are not even wearing suits. It is quite amazing the number of people who will refer to any coat-and-tie ensemble as a "suit," not knowing the difference.

I get that on a regular basis since i almost never wear suits but wear sportcoats and ties most days. I don't even correct people anymore.

I was wearing a sea-blue cashmere/goathair sports jacket with cotton/linen incotex somewhere between mustard and khaki and some girl asked me why i was wearing a dinner jacket yesterday.
