Canberra has a good rural feel about it and has most of the amenities you find in a major city. Mind you its only two and half hours to Sydney or two hours to the coast. The air is clean, lots of green spaces, I have a vegetable garden which I enjoy, the dog has a reasonable back yard, there is a micro brewery which does great stout. And the booze is cheap, on the downside everything is so overpriced its absurd. I feel like some sort of cash cow that is constantly being milked. House prices are way over the top, for what your paying for, but then house prices in Australia lost track with reality some time ago.
