This is a pair of Allen Edmonds "Chukka" model boots. The "Chukka" model was made from fall 1995-spring 1997. The chukkas are in "black cherry" shell cordovan that has faded to a more desireable mahogany color (like Alden's #4). The chukkas are in excellent condition and were only worn about 10 times before being stored for all these years. The shell is still supple. There is very little evident wear - the uppers have just some faint creasing on the vamp and a couple of tiny marks that looks like shop wear. The outsoles have about 95% of their life remaining as do the heel caps. The insoles are also in great shape. There is only the faintest impression in the footbed.

Fit: The Chukka is on the popular 4-last (the last was discontinued in one of AE's all-to-common bad decisions). The general consensus, which I agree with, is that the 4 last fits true to size in length and 1 size wide in width (in other words, a "B" fits like a "C")
