Cameron, not Manton that is. Though I would like to see a thread about bespoke Thawbs by Manton.

Cameron is the Member of Parliament for Witney in West Oxfordshire. His 'constituents' are the residents of Witney. The demographics from the 2001 census for Witney are as follows:

Total 2001 Population: 95640
Male: 49.2%
Female: 50.8%
Under 18: 22.6%
Over 60: 21%
Born outside UK: 5.9%
White: 98.4%
Black: 0.2%
Asian: 0.4%
Mixed: 0.7%
Other: 0.4%
Christian: 77.4%

I would safely bet that his constituents would not be pleased if he wore that outfit.

I was commenting on the fact that the English tend to use spelt while Americans tend to use spelled.

Up to a point.

He has a reputation as a practical joker. What could be more memorable than turning up to his fellow old Etonians wedding dressed as Col Gadaffi?

But to be fair, every few years we all have a cracking good sports tourney together!

perhaps Germany wouldn't have been so keen to follow them into war, especially with the rebirth of its national identity still being viewed (maybe unfairly) as fragile.

I think this option--incidentally the first return on a "lounge suit" google images search--would make fore a good compromise.
