5/3 DROP - Fine and unusual English Gent's Leather Box - Has some age..

A superbly-patinated leather box, obviously English, perhaps for some gent's dress accessories? Fine impressed mark with the royal crest, and 'LONDON MAKE WARRANTED'. I'm not sure of age, but it obviously has some....and have had an opinion, or two, shared, so I"ll just make it 'offered as-you-see-it'.

Just a wonderful patina, that just can't be reproduced, fine latches, etc. Not sure just WHAT this was intended to contain/carry?

8 1/2" x 2" x 1 3/4" high )not including the upper 'cuff')

Physically nice condition, with just a bit of tearing at the ends of the cover. Very sound, though.

For display, desk-top or dresser-top storage of those fineries, or....an elegant way to carry accessories for travel.

$75. --- $55. $49. $44. $39.50shipped to the CONUS (Yes, in this case, I guess I must offer to ship to the UK....! Actual cost/TBD.)

For teh Royal dildo perhaps?

Seriously, thats nice leather, and you cant get cool stuff like that for this insanely cheap price. RJMan would probably love this.

Isn't it possible that the seller typo'd his original entry and just corrected it after the fact? More importantly, since no one took him up on his original price (unlike the infamous Pink Cashmere Attolini fiasco) - who cares?

YES, shortly after generating the listing in haste, I reconsidered and decided to leave more room from which to drop....and raised the price from the original $55. Didn't feel that that violated any in-good-faith practice or principle.... Had anyone contacted me, and related that they had seen the brief/original listing at the $55., and had interest at that price, it would have been offered, without any hesitation, at that price. IS my integrity, my honor-in-dealings being questioned here....??? ----------------- Yes, in response to one reply: UNSURE of age, does have some.....and, likely LOOKS earlier than it may actually be....?

I wonder if this belonged to Frederick Augustus Voigt? British journalist born in the late 19th century.

NEVER! DEFINITELY not meant to question integrity or honor, and would never do so, friend. A man's integrity and honor cannot and should not be judged by a $20 decision. I perfectly understand the issue of leaving room to bump your thread thru a price drop. It has been told to me, however, that their is some higher code of conduct on SF B&S... well above where a man's integrity & honor would come into question... closer to sainthood I think. Apologies, & if I could figure out what the hell to put in it, I'D buy the box. Pretty neat. By the way, you've gotta drop price when you bump your own sales thread (this is a regular rule, NOT one which would earn one sainthood).
