Chicago nightclubs

Haven't gone out in a long time. Used to like Crobar way back but I was there the last week it was open in the summer, and it wasn't the same.

I'm looking for a place that has some top 40/r&b/hiphop because that's what my friends from out of town want.

Really don't want to go to typical Soundbar/Vision bullshit. What recommendations do you have?

I've found the reviews from these guys to be pretty good. Don't have any personal experience with Chicago though. http://www.tabletguides.com/Travel-G...ort=popularity

Crobar was fuckin awful man. Just awful. Well, I was there once right before it closed and it was awful then.

If I had to go to more of a club type of a place in Chicago I would choose the Vertigo Sky Lounge at the top of the Dana Hotel on State and Erie. I was there once for a b-day party last summer and it wasn't too douchy like a lot of those places are. Amazing views too. I recall the guy at the door was actually pretty nice and not a douche like most bouncers are. If I was forced to go to a club/lounge, this is where I would choose.

Hi kyle... not everyone is from the midwest and hates clubbing. Some of us grew up in places where people actually went out at night, and not to the nearest wal mart.
