i have 3 pair of these. black, tortoise and crystal. some of the best frames i've ever owned.

dam man. yeah i have the black ones but in 48. they are a taaad bit small but wearable and still nice-looking. i just got the olive tortoise pair in a 51 i cant wait till i put lenses in them.

they are definitely bold and emphatically present your face (in a positive way).

I had a pair of the 49s a while ago. didnt read the sizing when i saw them for like $100 and bought em. my brother now has a really nice pair of sunglasses though.

my head's like a bowling ball and @ 6'2" 200ish and full chops, i've never been described as "subtle". these frames fit the bill perfectly. these and the Hollis if it came with longer temples.

the last pair of frames i had were claiborne "actor" in a dark tortoise i just got these gant "gates" frames a couple weeks ago. the sides are dark tortoise shell and the bridge is very dark blue but appears black unless you look at them under a direct light source.

another pic this is OP Hollis tortoise that i swapped out the sunglass lenses for prescription. it's kind of out there and it doesnt really work but only at certain angles. thus i just wear it on certain fun night occasions. not to work.



oh, i am not doing any business in bathroom. i just was trying on the glasses and didnt want to make a scene so i went into a stall to take a phot.

Anyone recommend a good place in San Francisco for eyewear? I'd like a few pairs of quality frames for prescription lenses. I never pay much attention to eyewear and I don't really know what's out there. Price isn't an issue, though I'd like to find a good value.

I'm going to check out BP Plus in the Mission and I'm considering a visit to SEE in the Marina. Anywhere else I should go?

Edit: I like these frames below; frames that are dark on top and clear on the bottom generally look good on my face. Where can I find OG (Google bring up OGI which doesn't appear to be the same thing)? If there are other frames / makers similar to this I should look at I'd love to hear about them.

Try Coastal Contacts, or Clearly Contacts. I've been looking at very similar glasses. You can order them online at a very low price. My friend swears by them.
