Ambrosi Napoli - Page 59

The truth is I would have been very satisfied to have my money returned. Ambrosi said no he wanted to make good on the order. I said ok and have been waiting ever since.

Based on how Mafoofan and others have been treated by this guy, I am too afraid to have bespoke pants made by this somehow magnificent bespoke pantmaker.

Shoot. That's really not good, Fred. I just sent him an email asking about the pants. I'm hoping they're stuck en route and he'll be able to provide a tracking number.

What a sad and unfortunate situation. I'm surprised that all those armoury boys are on such buddy buddy terms with him. I wouldn't even want to associate with him given all the horror stories I've heard on here. Hopefully you will get something out of him soon.

I wouldn't even wait four months. I do not care if the construction and fit of the pants are beyond excellent, if I am promised the pants will be done by a specific date, I want it by that date. Or else a refund. There are no excuses when a business promises you something and doesn't do it.

Dude, if you like the product, you will have to wait and it happens all the time with bespoke tailors. In this case, it is unreasonable as it should not take anyone two years to complete a few pair of pants but that's what happens when you pay upfront.

True. But yes, it's unreasonable for any bespoke tailor to take two years to complete type of garment. And the thing is, Ambrosi doesn't want to answer most emails from his customers about overdue orders. That's pretty inexcusable. Seems like Ambrosi hasn't been online since then after the exploitation in this thread.

Anyone who continues to order from him deserves not to get his pents, that's what I think.

It's probably best to get Ambrosi pants through a middleman like the Armoury, instead of directly interacting with the artisan.

That's a little extreme in my opinion.

+1. Although the retailers who carry Ambrosi pants are few.

I"m not talking about RTW Ambrosi. (is there even such an item?)

I'm referring to going to the physical Armoury store in HK to get fitted for Ambrosi pants. That way, if Sr. Ambrosi bails again, you can carry on your dispute with a physical store of good repute.

Well, I didn't actually mean RTW Ambrosi.

Just got a FB message from Salvatore - he'll be in NYC from Oct. 4-7.

For what it's worth I have had suits and pants made by a number of bespoke houses.
Richard Anderson and Henry Poole have done great work for for me. They have exceeded my expectations on quality, service and time taken to produce bespoke suitings. I have paid them both up front.
