Indy Magnoli can do a made-to-measure midnight blue tuxedo for around $500-600.

Indochino's midnight blue tux is made of polyester, so avoid that one.

Midnight's nice, but finding a jacket with the right details on that price is hard enough without getting it in the alternate color.

I had trouble finding reviews for Magnoli. I really liked the look of their "Royale" tux, but I couldn't find much info either way as to their quality. Have you bought anything from them?

It has grosgrain lapels and the trouser stripe, so I'd call it a tux by definition. I do get what you mean though, in terms of appearance. I'd prefer peak lapels (not to mention wider lapels and a lower buttoning point) and a darker navy though, it's true. The latter may be a lighting issue, though.

The only Magnoli items I own so far are some of his ties, although I am determined to eventually order a few of his suits & hopefully the Royale tuxedo when I have some decent money. While I am unable to give a review of his suits, there are several posters on the Absolutely James Bond forums (http://www.ajb007.co.uk/forum/6/jame...ting-clothing/) that have ordered from him, and the general consensus seems to be that he does quality work. You can search through the forums for reviews from other posters, & there's also this article here: http://www.jamesbondlifestyle.com/in...es&g=art080101

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but for what it's worth, my Magnoli ties are my favourite ones in my collection. They look & feel amazing, & tie a beautiful knot.
