Went to The Restaurant at Meadowood last night. We both had the tasting menu and were really impressed. I've never eaten such delicious duck. Overall I'd say Meadowood's main courses were better than the one's I've had at Per Se. Where Per Se comes out ahead is with their baking, butters, desserts, and all the extras between courses. Thanks for the suggestion!

Damn, for a 12 y/o from a borderline 3rd world country, you sure eat like a baller!

Stazy, get some photos of the princesses at disneyland!

yeah, i think meadowood is much better than it's given credit for (if you can say that about a michelin three-starred property). somehow it still manages to fly under the radar. maybe it's because the rooms start at $525 ... but that's not all that steep in Napa. stayed there a couple of times years ago. they have a croquet green and people play in whites. i think matt would like it.

Bernardus has a croquet field.

Something about the atmosphere makes even interesting people seem dull.

This is what Ive heard. I don't mind staying at the hotel if the bar is going to be a good time. Is it worth it? (You can come chill with me. lol)

Depends what you're looking for in a bar I guess. I enjoy slightly divier ones. Haven't been recently, but usually had good times at Footsies, the Roost, Drawing Room, Big Fish. Edendale is nicer (in a 20s firehouse) and I used to like 7 Grand a lot. Gimmicky but nice to be in. I really have never enjoyed Sunset Strip bars. Standard is cheesy as fuck, but there always seemed to be attractive women there at least. Mandrake in Culver City is nice too, but gets insanely crowded some nights, and my SO is good friends with the owners so my experience is somewhat tilted.
