Most beautiful borders you've been to?

From your travel...where, between which countries?

I liked the Texas/Mexican border by the Rio Grande. Down, deep in the desert of Southwest Texas, there's no one patrolling the border, so I witnessed many Mexicans from the neighboring villages freely crossing over by donkey. Of course, they'd have to brave over 100 miles of desert before reaching civilization, which is why most who try to immigrate don't make it out alive.

Not so much from my travels, but I grew up just south of the England/Scotland border. The coastline down the East coast is spectacular.

Sea is very, very cold though.

I went to university in Scotland and the views out of the train up the east coast on my way up at the begging of term is one of the things I miss most.

Most land boarder crossings I have seen have either pretty unremarkable - in Europe I have often not really noticed them, or pretty ugly - desolate strips of land between concrete offices and fences.

The Delaware river, running as the border between NY, NJ and PA is pretty nice.
