It depends. I would say port, a highland malt scotch. If I want my drink to be my desert, then a good German Eiswein.

Since my defection to Freedom I've had a chance to discover a nice Vieille Prune de Souillac or Marc is a nice end to a meal. Otherwise, I've started favoring Armagnac over Cognac. Haven't had Tokaji in a while, but it's good too.

I've enjoyed this:

HARDY Extase X.O. Extase X.O. is an exotic eaux-de-vie distilled in small batches from orange peels imported from the island Curacao. Extase X.O. is carefully blended and distilled in Dijon, in the heart of Burgundy, using one of the oldest operating pot stills in France.

My mother lives about ten minutes from Souillac. I have never tried the stuff, but I will the next time that I visit.

I recently tried a type of Amaro called Rucolino. It is an amaro flavored with arugula and comes from Ischia. It was the best Amaro that I have tried. Usually, I prefer Armagnac.
