So the winter is closing in and I'm on the look out for some brown/tan brogues. I'll probably hold-off for another month/six weeks till the bi-annual sales start.
I'm attracted by the style and colour of the Tricker country brogue, but it seems very clunky/ heavy, which is what I want to avoid. I'm after something not too heavy, which can be worn in a work context (semi-formal environment) and also off-duty, paired with dark jeans and other casual wear.
As regards price, that of a pair of Trickers on sale is what I'm prepared to go to. In the shops round here they typically go to 350-400euros full retail.
I value construction quality and comfort very highly; they will get a lot of wear.
Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received.

I have a pair of brown EG Malverns which are very nice, but out of your price range unless an RLPL version ever goes on sale on GVH.

Brown is for farmer.

EDIT: Sorry. Drugs talking again.
