! am trying to get away for the holidays with my gf. we are considering a few 'off season' ideas so we dont have to pay prime rates:
  • Scottsdale
  • Bermuda

what are thoughts on these options for late december for 10 days, both high 60's to low 70's with 4 star rates in the mid $200's...

Thanks.

I've been to scottsdale before, it's ok considering it's in the dessert. I would go to Bermuda because of the ocean.

Seems to me that Scottsdale would primarily be enjoyable if you like spas and/or golf.

I think Scottsdale in December is peak season. There should be a lot of "snowbirds" from the colder north, and rates would be relatively high.

I´ve been in Scottsdale in the off season (August). Rates were very good at the Marriott Camelback where we stayed. I agree that if you don´t like golf or spas, however, you may not like it.

Bermuda's nice in December if you don't plan on going to the beach to swim. Nice for golf, walks, shopping. Sweater weather with the odd light shower is typical.

Scottsdale's most interesting if you like what the resorts have there. Golf/tennis, or maybe riding. For better variety of terrain and some interesting tourist attractions, try Tucson.

But fewer trees and currently almost 80 f. The Desert Museum is nice though.
