Where to find current isaia stuff - Page 2

Anyone know if STP is winding down their Isaia merchandise? Seems like there is very little on the site compared to last year. Sadly the days of finding Isaia and Belvest with decent discounts at STP may be over....

Funny, but I find a lot of the newer Isaia stuff sub-par to the older models. After a couple of years of experimentation,I found what works/what I favor and I'd say about 80% of my current closet is Isaia. Even though I picked up a couple of pieces in the newer Base S cut in the last year, it can't touch the older Stuart or Scott or even the first generation of S models in terms of the subtlety of the cut and the silhouette . The new shoulders seem more padded and not nearly as soft in their shape, the chests a bit cleaner, and the skirts a bit shorter.

All a matter of taste of course and this is just my opinion.

Most of the Isaia stuff I've seen online is old, or from past seasons. These pieces seem quite recent, and I'm curious where one would pick up current season Isaia clothing. The sweater in particular looks like a small step down from cucinelli/piana. If you know which department store is well stocked please let me know. I haven't seen too much in neiman marcus or saks, but perhaps it's just the one near me.

Saks and Nieman Marcus in the San Francisco Bay Area. But over the past five years or so
I really dislike the buyers choices for these stores, especially in sport coats. Not much texture
or subtlety. No real tweed to speak of. Paul Stuart in New York has, or had, a good selection
of Isaia clothing made for them.

So does Isaia still make clothing for Paul Stuart? Suits or other articles?

barneys and neimans in boston both have a decent selection. and yes ascot chang in nyc has an excellent selection. i think valention may be the only private label isaia these days...someone can probably correct me here but they are not as active as they used to be in the private label regard. don't think paul stuard still has suits made by them.

my experience with the stp stock has been that it is recent (2010 and newer label on the two scs i'be purchased), but styles are well picked over at this point. I have not seen any re-stocks of note in a while, and I was checking religiously for months after picking up the aforementioned, incredible, size 48it, scs for 500/ea during a 80% slash/burn sale about a year ago.

+1. I really regret not picking that charcoal flannel chalkstripe during Q2 of last year.

I agree. Isaia has been influenced by the tiny suit craze.
