It's unfortunate, as I was ready to make the call. I am assuming the "glitch" was nationwide. Could it have been something done locally if I asked a sales associate at the store about it?

Maybe, but it wasn't just typing in a UPC and placig the order. It was some non-standard way of placing the order that allowed it to be rung up for that price.

Except for myself on Sunday, no one got in their order. The price was back up to msrp when my friend got into work this morning.

I very much appreciate the kind words and I really wish it had worked out differently. If something ever comes up like this again in the future, we'll definitely give it another shot and we'll try and act more quickly.

True story. He was on the fence over Merlot or Walnut and he missed his chance as well.

On a related note, my friend asked me to convey to you all that he was sorry to have wasted your time and he really appreciated how cool everyone was when they called in this morning. You all are class acts.
