Nautical Stripes

What kind of outfit would go with this shirt? How about with a navy blazer, white pants, and spectators? I don't want to look like a sailor, but I love these stripes.

When I was out in Williamsburg last weekend, all the kids were wearing nautical stipe t-shirts with jeans. It was like a uniform.

I usually post in the tailored clothes forum, and get excellent responses. This forum is "different" I guess.

There's an "Ask a Question" thread right up at the top of the page where people will answer without snark.

The outfit you're describing sounds too matchy and costumey. White and navy are easy colors to flatter, just add golds/khakis, brown leather, and bright or pastel tones. I think spectators look like clown shoes on nearly every occasion, wouldn't recommend them. If I had access to whatever I wanted, I'd pair that shirt with a chino cotton suit in a gold/khaki color, brown Venetian loafers, and a woven or canvas belt.

Being from Williamsburg, VA I can assure you these are not the uniform there. I think the guy meant Brooklyn.
