For short trips (one night away) I go with one pair (even if I hate using the same shoes 2 days in a row). Longer trips I normally bring 3 pairs and 2 pair of shoe trees.

Does G&G offer hallowed shoe trees at all?  Haven't seen any posted and its a shame.  Hallowed shoe trees are so much nicer both functionally and aesthetically.

+1.  For short trips I usually wear loafers to the airport and pack a pair of oxfords in the carry on luggage.  And have them share one pair of trees.

+1000.  We all spend a not insignificant amount of money  on shoes, and the extra weight (hopefully, no excess luggage charges) are a necessary evil in order to ensure that they last as long as possible.

I usually bring two pairs of shoes for my two-night trips, and three pairs for week-long ones.  I always bring the proper trees for the shoes.  I know that this is a G&G thread, but the best trees are those provided by St. Crispins - they're lasted, and hollowed out so that they are light when compared with other makers' shoe trees.  As a result, my SCs see a lot more of the world than their cousins.

I do just shove my hallowed shoe trees into all different shoes.  :p

You mean "hollow".  Then again, given the veneration for G&G and posh shoes in general among SF-ers, maybe you meant what you said
