almost all my shoes develop some degree of creasing, depending on the leather. sometimes, brogue-ing, punching and capping will diminish it, but you cant wear shoes and avoid creasing entirely, no matter how well they fit.

I think it's durable in terms of abrasion resistance but has poor tensile strength due to its short grain.

I'm surprised at G&G...there's a fundamental flaw in construction that is the cause of this damage. Any strap that will bear weight or strain is never to be stitched across. It is tantamount to the perforations on a ticket stub and is begging for a rip.

Yes. I didn't pay much attention to the pull tab inside-face details until today; and I realize the pull tab broke most likely due to the horizontal stitching that hold it against the shaft.

The breakage is so clean and neat too!
