I agree. Anything in calf family would be better. The hove is a very appealing design and would look nice in brown hatchgrain from GG.

Thank you and please do.

A first hand experience is always the best information.

Tanning is an amazing thing and the process used can greatly alter the performance of a hide.

In any case - they are beautiful shoes.

Another option to consume my credit with Leffot. Any opinions? Anyone have these?

Look pretty awesome in the pictures.

Impressive shoe collection sir! You seem to be the man to ask a question about any fine pair of shoes as you have probably handled and/wore them at some point.

I debating between these and the EG Galway. Any thoughts?

I actually have both. They are two different Shoes. The G&G Arran in my opinion is a much dressier shoes than the EG Galway (see below). I ordered a pair from Leffot.

The Galway has the best construction of any boot I've seen and it will not disappoint you as well. IMHO, I think the Galway is more casual. Not better or worse, juts less dressy

It is really a tough choice. Get both!
OK Just kidding.

That is my problem. If the Galway was a wingtip I would get it no questions asked as it would fill a hole in my rotation. I have two dressier chukka boots including a pair of EG Silverstone which has a similar look and a couple pairs of cap-toe boots including the C&J cordovan boot. However, I have no wingtip boots.

Maybe I should for the Carmina cordovans just for something different.

I would get the G&G if I have to pick. However, Getting the Carmina would save you few hundred dollars, something like $500-$800 over EG/GG.
I am not familiar with Carmina (I know about them), but they do not have shoes in my size and it is tough to see one in person in the US. Epaulet .com has some shell boots that look really nice.

I have those in oxfords and i love them. Was considering the Carmina in order to have a different shade but the Lindricks boots are sitting in my RL shopping cart. I've been trying to get someone to compare the quality of the Carmina to the Lindricks as I can't see the Carminas without ordering them but so far, no bites.
