I wouldn't wear either of those with pinstripe suits. For suits you need a lace up oxford or 'dressy' lace up derby. Conversely those loafers would be fine with odd jacket and trousers.

Yeah you are right, actually I need loafers to when dressing more casual. So I need to get one of them anyways tounge.gif

StThomas got me real hard I like how they are so ''sharpy'' in a way.

Anyone have a TG73 shoe/boot in a size 6.5/7E that can kindly give me L x W sole measurements? smile.gif

I know there are numerous variables that confound fit; however, for me the sole measurements do provide a good baseline. More specifically, I just want to see how the TG73 measurements compare with my EG on the 888.

4-1/4" x 11-1/2" average on my pairs in 7E. As they are hand made the soles are not identically sized even on the left/right in the same pair. The TG 73 is plenty long overall - the trick for most is width.

As it seems we are a similar size perhaps it would be more helpful if we compared size/fit of various lasts?

I'm comfortable in:

G&G TG73 - 7 (7-1/2 was definitely too big. 7 was pretty snug on initial fit but works perfectly after a few wears)
C&J 348 - 6-1/2 (perfect)
C&J 341 - 6-1/2 (was a little snug in the toes at first but fine after wearing)
AS 106 - 6-1/2 (snug in the toes - but bearable)
Carmina Rain - 7 (a smidge wide)
Carmina Simpson - 7 (perfect)

On loan from Nick at BE. Now I'm faced with choosing between the Hughes in vintage cherry, size 11F, last TG73, or the Chelsea in vintage rioja, size 11E, last MH 71.

Thanks for the info! My half size down from you is definitely consistent with the shoes. Nice coincidence that we both have excellent fit for the C&J 348. Really appreciate this Gdot.

HGB4529...I have the Chelsea on the MH71 and find it to be the most comfortable shoe G&G has made for me. Grab it NOW

I just don't find Oxfords as comfortable...and since the Hayes is in a band aid color...its not a business shoe anyway...so I would choose the comfort of the Chelsea
