Patience is a virtue for sure. I can definitely wait but I do know you wait for toe taps to be installed but those are installed.......

I dont mind waiting because when they come they will be on point

Stitches, you make me regret not pulling the trigger on those St. James...mostly because I really want mole suede. Congrats on your excellent kops!

So since I'm not going to have time to visit Bespoke England while I'm in London in October, I decided to come to Vegas to visit St. Nick at his booth at Magic! It was great to meet him in person....very gracious with his time and a true gentleman all around. Was an absolute pleasure!

Here's some quick iPad pics of the booth and some glorious shooz!

And one of St. Nick himself...

Ok, here is the deal, folks.

The first pair is an MTO I have been working on with Nick for a little bit, and once again he came through like only he does. I went with the St. James II in Polo Suede, on the 73 last. Made it personal with a medallion on the toe and green leather lining. There were many questions back and forth, but Nick put up with me all the way through, with nary a complaint, and the end result was nothing short glorious.

Pair #2 was very serendipitous for me. They are the Uppingham, also on the 73, in Vintage Rioja Calf. These shoes are the very first GGs I fell in love with, about 2 years ago or so. I saw them on the BE site and have wanted them from that first glance. I never picked them up because there were other needs in my shoe rotation that were more pressing, but as soon as these went on sale, I really had no choice in the matter.

I cant thank Nick enough for his exemplary service, and I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who is looking for GGs, to make Nick your first stop, and hopefully, your only stop.

That being said, here goes....

I have a quick question. Does the height of the toe box differ much between the MH71 last and TG73 lasts? The MH71 (only G&G last I've ever tried on) fits me really well, and I understand that the TG73 should fit about the same, but from most pictures I see of the TG73 lasted shoes, the toe box seem a little lower compared to the MH71. If this is true, I'm wondering if the difference is significant or negligible. Thanks.
