As much as I love this swept-back version, I feel it needs a more aggressive last to balance the lines. I wish there were more makers offering this design...

I agree. Bespoke England offers this swept back double monk on the TG73 and MH71 lasts in several colors/configs. I think the MH71 is the sweet spot.

agreed. that is one good looking pair of shoes, and the 71 would be perfect for it.

Thanks G. GG06 is the antithesis of what I've come to expect from G&G. Its just... too fat?

I agree - it's not my cuppa. I imagine it appeals to the 'classicists' however.

+stitch

but yeah, many here feel the 06 is the way to go. as i have learned tho, body shape, and what you are wearing, play a large role as well in what will look best on the individual.

^ Likewise however I'm looking forward to seeing the Mh71 in person. My bal boot should be ready in a couple of months. Opted for the MH71 as bal boots traditional feature a soft square toe

When looking at the GG06 in person, fat is definitely not one of the words that come to mind. Even though it's G&G's roundest last, it's still pretty sleek. Black cap toe on GG06 is a great looking shoe.

Lol, yes for a second opinion of course. Perhaps I should have Nick send them to you first so as to spare me the possibility of any dissapointment

Edit- just as a heads up, the outsole is red as is the lining, black edge trim, of course. Me thinks this will look good with the black shell
