it's going to be a race to the finish between me (returning from the UK) and the FedEx man to my doorstep

Thanks guys!

Truthfully I picked up 4 pairs, received them today in Fedex and loved them so much I quickly kopped the Fairmont's and the Walkton's. Still on the fence regarding the St. Ives.

Gotta love G&G's at these prices!

I picked up the John Lobb Jermyn III's as well - those should be here tomorrow.

The John Lobb Jermyn were stunning and I was tempted but I just can't wear all of my shoes.

MrBrioni, curious how many pairs of shoes you have in your closet? How many pairs of G&G?

At G width, just go for MH71/GG06. Doesn't make much sense to get ultra pointed toe for extra wide lasts.

Probably north of 100, mostly pre SF days of Gucci, Prada, LV.

A guesstimate would be about 40 Edward Green, John Lobb, G&G, and Carmina.

G&G I'd guess 15-20 pairs.

1. mail those pre-SF shoes to Luxeswap
2. enjoy all the empty shoe rack space
3. wait for Spoo to cut you the check
4.???
5. profit!

and 6. use profits to get more GG

I don't care too much for the suggested lasts, but I will consider your advice since I must differ to your expertise.

I'm assuming you would feel the same about the deco last? I cannot recall if you care for that last...

I don't own any loafers but I think they could be a cool first.
Also sizing? My GG Hayes are stamped 9.5uk and 10us. Do I go with us sizing online or uk sizing?

I think the Antibes is a great loafer. My ones are a little loose early in the day but a tight fit after a flight so they are probably about right size wise I usually take a 9 UK and they are 9.

Thanks for the kind words. Interestingly the leather "blisters" when wet, very similar to when shell gets wet; however, after some polish on my G&G, the little blisters do recede. This also happens when I get my Carminas wet. It guess it is the type of leather. This does not happen to my EG, Vass, AS, which I assume are made with a different type?

Oh yeah, darn y'all with larger sizes... unfortunately Barney's don't carry 6.5/7E or else I would have picked up a pair in every single style...
