I think it is GG06= Gaziano Girling 2006 (I think they started 2006)
TG73 = Tony Gaziano and when he was born
DG70= Dean Girling and when he was born

the rest I don't know. KN14 is probably not made with the same logic?

After searching a while guys for my new suede shoes, two alternatives for summer came up.

"St James II" in Polo Suede (TG73)

C&J, Randolph purple collection last 358

Now tell me what's the diffrence and what's better with each shoe because they both look nice in my eyes and cost pretty much the same.

Hey F

No I have no loafers at all actually but I have thought about getting the Cannes somewhere down the road, they look great but I haven't decided on what colour or what type of leather I will go with.. I was first thinking of getting them in the pig-skinned version but then I saw a debate about english vs italian pig skin and that the english pig skin is hard as cardboard which scared my away so I am back to the drawing table

NN is a very reliable source, no doubt. luk-cha, who more or less introduced GG to sf owns bespoke numbers made of pig skin from a few years back. shot him a pm. he is very helpful.

Polo suede FTW, but ultimately whichever shoe fits you the best should be the one you buy.

Oh okay I just took a shoot, since you have so many GG shoes I thought you might have a pair of loafers (really want to see them on somebody). I'm also thinking about the same one that's why. Yeah I heard about that pig-skin version before here. But hey how many GG shoes do you have, like 10?

Actually I  can't I try some of them on, local shomakers here dont have the purple collection in store since it's only 25 ex left of them. Same for the GG shoes must be ordered online so i'm going for the best one really.

The main design difference will be the shape of the last and sole. The G&G is a more agressively shaped spade sole with a higher and tighter waist. It will appear more modern while the C&J will feel more classic. It's a subtle difference in photo but you can definitely see it. On the foot they are like two totally different shoes.

No I don't have that many. I have 5 at home and 2 decos on their way and will probably order one more deco in the next one or two months for spring delivery 2013 and maybe the Cannes so it will take some time before I have 10!
