Stay tuned, sir. I purchased a particular pair from the Brexit sale, and actually received another pair in June, still have to post that one too!

Although I expressed a few issues earlier, and stand by them, one has to give credit where credit is due, and my Isham`s are a fine pair of shoes - all lacquered up with spit and polish...

The design has to be one of the best esthetically balanced  shoes in history...

Your observations are fair. I have noticed the leather does lose a little color in the creases on some colors, and the finishing on new soles does not like water for sure. I have not experienced the easy sole denting or upper collapsing on the arch like that though.

I would email that arch pic to GG, see what they advise. You might get some answers.

Starting the week...

Has anyone found meaningful differences in fit based on material chosen (or any other variable)? My first pair from G&G feels like a seriously firm pair of socks-- although suede should stretch a tad with wear. If grains or shell tended to be looser with them I'd be more inclined to risk a second pair.

I can post pics comparing but to me the fact that the exact same shoe in the same last but different leather produces this must be the leather and not the fit, with all due respect.

This happens to me on most RTW too, and I believe it's due to the shoe not fitting my arch like it should. My arch curves in fast behind the ball point, and this seems to happen with most makers. One reason which may explain why it's not so visible on your kudu pair is that the grain doesn't show the creases as easily. My thought, anyway.

Taking my St. James IIs out for another spin today. I'm just in love with these.

Polished yesterday. Black, but still one of my favorite English shoes. The double/HAF sole on this one has been wet several times without any abnormal wear.
