I would be able to join this GMTO if its MH71 last E width as TG73 last fit is tight for my toes.

Breaking out my favourite among favourites - the deco Holden. I'm a complete sucker for an oxford with a swan neck inlove.gif

More pics (Click to show)

Sunken metal toe tips are de rigeur. No ifs ands or buts. Otherwise the sole edges would be in even worse shape - they're crying out for a bit of edge dressing at the weekend as it is.

How long do these shoes take to break in?

My Thorpes were extremely comfortable out of the box, and I only expect them to get moreso with more wear.  I think if fitted properly there really shouldn't be any break in, unless you count the change between feeling good to feeling great.

Id be scared to wear them even though they are meant to get a ton of wear.

Me trying out the deco man pose. (Sorry mate I wish I could site you but the mobile experience isn't that savvy just yet.)

These 'poser deco's' on the TG73. wink.gif

Poser decos look really good :-)

I had mine made on the MH71 with a last adjustment

What last do you think the Deco last lean more towards?

I was thinking about this the other day, and IMO it leans more to the MH71. Deco last seems to have similar bevels on the toe, even thought they are elongated. Not quite as chiseled as a TG73.

So I'm trying to get an idea for sizing on the Burnham GMTO.  Have any of you gone down a half size for a chelsea to account for a snugger fit and the elastic? Or do you just take the same size you would as in other boots?
