I'm attending a wedding tomorrow which is in a yard with grass and fairly soft ground. Might even rain a bit, so I might have to work in wet grass. Anything I should do do protect my Gazianos? Should I worry about it? smile.gif

Well a rubber sole although it covers the sole it doesn't cover the upper, and unfortunately damp and especially wet grass depending on length and dampness can be bad. Hopefully it won't rain. I would treat my shoes with some bick4 and some fresh polish. Then afterwards clean of course. If it were to rain I would probably go for a lesser pair of shoes personally. This is what beaters were made for. A nice pair of AE beaters are still better than most will wear.

Pebble uppers are great for situations where shoes might get wet. I have a pair of BB/AE PTB that are sleek enough to pass. I have a number of Dainite shoes too that fit the bill. If you wear black or dark brown I'm sure your shoes will be fine after a polish.

I actually have a theory (probably not true) that shoes polish better after some rain... kinda like the water mixes with the wax so when you polish it sets in better. Maybe just my rationalization when I'm around getting my shoes wet.

i was going to say that, they are really not worth it, very stiff soles and leather. In addition, the customer service is not so good. Much better to pay extra for Carmina products.
