I can't comment on other shoes but when it comes to that specific pair of shoes, in my opinion, their value is way above the listed price. Taking in account: the quality of the materials, the aesthetic of both the soles and the uppers, the durability and of course the fit that really feels like Bespoke ... They are really special !!!

Retail for that MTO should be £940 + £50 shipping, so £990 all in. At the current forex of $1.45/£1 you're looking at $1,435.50 + import dues because GG only uses UPS (hate this about them).

Additionally I agree with the comment about these shoes holding limited equity. GG,EG,JL, ect. resale market is an abysmal spot for a seller, expect at least a 30% loss. If monetary value is of larger significance to you than style, fitment, and quality...the Alden brown shell game is your best fit.

I guess I'm just approaching the price it differently than you are. Retail on GG is around $1200, so that's "original" price I would use to benchmark prices when buying shoes in the second hand market. I could care less if someone paid extra to MTO something, especially when the materials or makeup doesn't have an inherent surcharge (exotic leathers, full-spec Deco, etc).

At that point (in my mind), it's their loss if they didn't like the way it turned out for whatever reason. I know I wouldn't want to supplement the seller's MTO fee in the secondhand market.

Actually you cannot apply second hand principles to a custom grade item MTO'ed, if you Will, and sold directly from the manufacturer. So please ask questions about the item if you want your evaluation to be relevant instead of downgrading the value of something you don't know neither initial price and origins. When you don't know, feel free to ask !!!

But what you're saying goes for all GG shoes. There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary with your pair. On the other hand, the make up youre selling isn't very versatile nor classic. Anyway, good luck with the sale!

Actually I can, given that you're selling them on the secondhand market...There's nothing out of the ordinary about those shoes, certainly not "custom grade," other than mixed material. Any retailer could decide to order this shoe as store stock and charge ~$1200. That should be your starting point, not your MTO fee included. Passing your MTO fee onto the next guy, unless a very rare makeup (like the Alden brown shell offerings mentioned earlier), is going to be a fruitless venture. You're charging basically the same as someone that can go and order from GG direct themselves.

Enjoy not selling your shoes.

Basically, you just completly killed your first point in that last paragraph...you said that I was listing the shoes ABOVE RETAIL and now you say that the base price would be $1200 + MTO+ IMPORT DUTIES+ TAXES ... So please go to G&G website get us a real quote instead of being a terminHATER, you are ruining the whole ambiance 😜

I actually think you'll have difficulty selling them though. If you value them at more than 1500 just wear them & enjoy them! Your search is further complicated bc It also takes a particular type of person to want those shoes - not everyone likes the suede / calf hybrid - so your market is smaller.

I appreciate your defense of your own ad. Sad thing is I'm actually trying to help you sell your shoes. Plain and simple: your price is at least $500 too high for the secondary market.

You're welcome to think I'm a hater, but you're just going to hate yourself for spending money on shoes you don't like, especially when they won't sell.

Thanks for the free marketing support and don't forget to provide us the $1200 G&G MTO quote you told us about. So that all fellow members can benefit from it if they feel like it.
Sincere.
