Yes. But I can't remember seeing a stock model last time I was at the Savile Row store, but they do have a demonstration model if memory serves correctly. Commissioning an MTO is extremely fun, but you will be fit on a Hilton MH71, which is their standard fitting shoe, so you will have to use your imagination for your final shoe design in terms of last, material, colour and sole choice.

Great, how much would you guess MTO runs provided I don't use any exotic materials like crocodile. $1500?

Think the up charge vs stock models is around £200.

You can check on G&G's website:

So I could not resist the awesomeness of the Kudu Thorpe GMTO even though the standard E width would NOT work - so I piggy-backed a single MTO in an F width, and I'm glad I did.

Wonderful colour and texture, and great lines to boot. (Get it? To "boot"?.... never mind). A pleasure as always to work with the good people from Skoak.

Thanks gents - and congrats on your pair Triple D!

Zap - I haven't even had a chance to slip them on yet - just snapped quick pics to share.  As you can see, my priorities are most sensibly ordered.  Will report back on fit but F width plus derby gives me great peace of mind.

In the "I just may have gone a bit overboard" column of life, I also have a pair of Thorpes due in at some point in smooth calf as part of the F-width pre-order - so ya never know.

Anyone tried to email GG about the left over pairs from their sample sale this past weekend?

There was another shoe in the same bespoke last as my Antibes, a yellow austerity brogue which was also not to my taste despite the excellent fit.

Thanks and that is great to know. I spoke to them and they will have a solid inventory to ask about in about 1 week according to GG.
