So maybe I should have tried the 11.5UK in F also to give more width to the feet. I tried a broken-in 11UK F in store and felt fine.

So the St James are 11F? I would think that's about right. A 11.5E will be similar to a 11F for width in my experience.

Aren't all G&G lasts the same? The TG73 and MH71 both felt similar in terms of toe area when I tried them on.

Oops, for some reason I missed that he was talking about different lengths.

In theory, yes. But it's evident that different people experience the fit differently amongst the various lasts. For me, the main comparison point is non-deco vs deco, and I've had the good fortune to not experience a noticeable difference in fit.

I'm guessing it has to do with my relatively square foot - as I understand it the lasts are all supposed to be the same except for the toe shape, so once I have the fit correct from the heel to the ball of the foot, my relatively short toes aren't affected by the different sweeps beyond the ball of the foot towards the tip.

Not in my experience - both the above shoes are 8 1/2E - you can imagine the difference in fit. The black pair was sent back to G&G to confirm the size, but it was confirmed at 8 1/2E. One fits, one does not - same size, different last.

Wow, mind blown. That looks like at-least a half size difference to me...if not a full size!

So with this recent sale on larger sizes... when are smaller sizes... say 6.5E... on sale?

While we're all comparing lasts and sizes. Here are two UK8.5E's. One on the GG-MH71 and the other on the EG82.

I think it is, but for some reason I thought the instep would fit better on the 11F. They do seem to close up a bit better.

I am anxious and a bit concerned now seeing TG73 vs MH71 last comparison.
Would you be able to compare MH71 vs Deco square?
I recently placed 2 MTO on Deco square last and was told by G&G that it will fit exactly the same and it was confirmed by you as well that you wear same size smile.gif .
Is the Deco last more elongated than MH71.
Since I haven't tried Deco square last so it would be most helpful by seeing some comparison pics.
My size is 8.5 E on MH71 and 8 E on most C&J lasts.
8 E on the Rain last in Carmina and 8.5 E on the Simpson last. Just hoping that 8.5 E in Deco fits me.
