I work in a workplace with a permanent semi-formal dress code. So I tend to wear predominantly black trousers/navy and khaki chinos.

All are on the TG73 last. This'll be my first pair of G&G...

Hayes

St James II

Note that these are the Grant, not Westbury.  SJII are the iconic mainstay. Don't worry.  You will own all three in less than a year.

I wear them with navy, grey, brown tinged and P of W suits. They go with pretty much anything, except I guess black.

Doubtful that such a classic design will date.

Oh, and they look fabulous.

In the regular line, the SJII is only available in vintage cherry. Really like the vintage Rioja though. Still if I do an MTO, the rosewood kudu/cherry calf or tan/vintage Rioja combinations will be my pick.

Took the photos from the G&G website. Grant comes in vintage oak with medallion on toe box on Deco whereas Westbury is vintage Rioja with the patina on TG73.
That's a reasonable proposition.

Yep! I love them but they are one width wider than my shoes, so I need to wear boot socks in them to help the fit! I love them none-the-less

As long as you can achieve a good fit that's the important thing. Besides thicker socks for boots aren't that big of a deal considering the weather boots are typically worn in.

I'm still kicking myself for missing the black wholecut Sinatra when Skoak had them on sale... I NEED a black wholecut musicboohoo[1].gif

Thus far, the St James II has been the overwhelming choice by TKO.

Btw, Skoak has a wait list on the SJ II in UK8E.

Problem with purchasing sight unseen is the color. Lighting can distorts the colouring. Is that vintage cherry? The patina on toe box is not noticeable?

Depending on your size, Bespoke England has a decent range of G&Gs rtw on sale. None even close to UK8E though. 😂
