I'm okay with English grain.  Not sure what pig skin looks like.

While not a huge fan of the huge commando sole and deco last on their own, somehow, I thinks this works quite well. Too much $ tho...

Saw these in The Rake and they look nicer than the sum of their parts would suggest.

Haven't seen a price or anyone stocking them though.

Those boots are not stocked anywhere, only available on-line.
It's an extremely limited edition of 12 pairs each in two colours/leathers.

Price is pretty steep at GBP 1,400 (USD 2,000)

Yes - you in for an Arran?

I'd be in for a smooth leather Arran.

Thanks for the link.

Price isn't as bad as I expected considering the cost of G&Gs and their upward trajectory. The current price for Thorpes on Bespoke England is £1,236 (admittedly this is a fairly hefty mark up) which by the time you add the £150 for the shoe trees you are only £14 off the cost of these limited edition G&Gs which doesn't seem overly excessive.

However, looking at the boots from above the chisel toe does not work at all with the style or the leather in my opinion. I would have thought the round toe deco would have been better suited if they were set on the sleek look.

Of course. I am hoping for a hatch grain, but would also go for smooth calf.
If the majority goes for smooth calf, what do you say to something like vintage rioja?

I know @Leaves has expressed a preference for something 'not red' and I am open to anything in the range of dark brown to tan. But there is almost no shade that would be a deal - breaker for me if we can get 6.

I'm hoping we won't get stuck at 5 again. Would it be possible to start something like a "refundable" GMTO, where @Leaves would open a GMTO page even if we don't have 6 confirmed, and leave it open for a month hoping more people would join?
I often join GMTOs which I see on skoaktiebolaget.se for the first time.
If we don't get our six, participants could choose to proceed as single MTOs or get their money back...with let's say a small fee for skoak's trouble.

I'm still on board for Arran (in F).

Rioja would look good. So would a lot of colors though. Leaves is Rioja out for you since it is reddish? It's pretty different from cherry though imo

I'll think about it but I would prefer not to keep people's money if I can't guarantee a go ahead, so most likely not.

It's still reddish too me, but I'm easy, if that's what everyone wants.
