Gaziano & Girling Appreciation & Shoe Appreciation Thread (including reviews, purchases, pictures, etc...) - Page 1247

Gable - Vintage Oak, Racing Green, Pearl Gray, Fox Suede, Polo Suede

Walkton - Calf/Suede Spectator - Perhaps open to color

Canterbury - Vintage Oak Uppers/Coffee Suede Shaft?

Wigmore - Cedar Uppers/Coffee Suede Shaft?

Burnham - Vintage Oak Calf (Still on the fence)

Preferred last - MH71 (The only one I can confirm my size)

Overall I'll just say that of my preferences above, Gable is the really my main focus. But I'd consider a killer boot depending on when the votes come in

Gable's a great looking shoe. I have a pair in BRG on the TG73. Would consider the other colours you mention or suede.

Also happy to discuss Walkton.

Also happy with MH71.

St James vintage cherry, which I think is the best looking G&G shoe and best adelaide in the market, in MH71 and F width.

only if this could be done with narrow width too, but there are only a few of us and i'm extra narrow! haha

Have to sit this one out, but happy to follow the F Clan for future GMTOs.

Anyone see the G&G single monks? A few different styles. BRG, Arran Country Grain, and Chestnut Hatch look the prettiest on it.

Oh, and a Burnham in Vintage Cherry would be sexy.

F Company?

You must all have a pair of St James in F width already??......

1.

Thorpe - GG06, midnight blue, heavy burnish

Leather sole: Natural edging/Antique

Kinda like this:

2. St james II

That would be killer. I'm all about the Gable right now...

Any other takers for an Arran?  That seems to have the most mentions so far.  Would anyone go for an Arran makeup in the event that there isn't sufficient support for another model?

In furtherance of flexibility, I'll add to my #1 Arran choice with the following:

2. Isham - chestnut hatch looks fab, but I'd be open to other smooth calf options.

3. Wigmore -  it would have to be something in a mid-brown for the upper.  Contrasting dark brown grain for the shaft is preferred but open to suede.

4. Gable - blue, green and black are out, but reasonably open thereafter.

5.  St. James II in a medium brown.

But I'm really about the Arran, and leaning heavily toward hatch or grain. :)

Yes I know that I said a while ago that we should look at a midnight blue Gable with darker burnishing at the toe and heel! I'm still all for this on something like the TG73 last so we can really get a special shape for this unique model and color combo.

5 for Arran 3 for Isham at present.  Interestingly, most guys who picked one are also down for the other.

Close, but still short of critical mass.

Keep the suggestions coming.

I'd be in for a gable as well. Any color would draw my interest.
