Breaking in my Harrows. Right side seems to have the bottom underside of the tongue rubbing into my skin as the shoe folds. Haven't had this in any top maker aside from my Alfred Sargents - shoes I grew to hate. Going to persevere but feeling the discomfort.

Love that Glencoe - lovely boots.

I am currently looking at the Thorpe and am slowly convincing myself I need some boots in my life.

I know internet wisdom says that all G&G lasts are the same from a fit point of view apart from the toebox with the TG73 and MH71 being snuggest but is this always true? TG73 on 7E is a perfect fit for me so I assume it would be fair to assume that I would need 7E on the Thorpes on MH71 but wondered whether people sized up for boots.

Has anybody had specific experience of St. James II on TG73  and Thorpe on MH71? Skoak currently have a 7E in stock which I have had my eyes on for a week or so.

Oddly it is cheaper to buy from Skoak than direct from G&G (I live in the UK) and as Savile Row do not stock the Thorpe it would be MTO in any event with a 3-4 month wait.

Has anybody ever experienced additional custom charges when buying from Skoak in the UK? I don't see why you should with both being EU but it is something to consider.

Hey take 7E same size as your other G&G for your boot also. And every thing is included when you buy direct from skoak so no custom because it's included. And enjoy your boots my sizes sold out very fast. Oh didn't realize you are based upon on London. I have no clue about the import tax sorry about that.

I don't own the St James on the TG73 but I do own the Hayes on the TG73 and the Thorpe on the MH71. Both of which are in the E width and I do find the MH71 has more room in the toe box, but even though the Thorpe is a boot and tends to have more space than shoes on the same Last find the same size works fine for me. Sorry but I'm located in the states so I can't answer your question with regards to customs?

Reading the forum has constantly drained my wallet. Now I think I need a pair of Glencoe and my girlfriend really hates me.
