I have mine on leather.  I'm rotating something like 40 pairs of dress shoes/boots so I have never even come close to wearing through a sole.  If you add in my casual shoes which I would include the burnhams in as well, it'd be something like 100 shoes/sneakers.  I can't forsee ever wearing through them honestly.  I find Danite to be a little clunkier than leather as well.

Ah got yea I have lots of shoes that I have gotten in past two three months also so I do know what you mean & were you are coming from. I just asked if you guys were G&G leather boot in bad rainy snowy weather that Ohio gets. Got the answer I guess I will have to invest in non leather sole shoes for bad weather. And thank you for the input.

I have about 4 pairs of footwear in Dainite (2 Galways, 1 Chambords, and 1 Sandringhams) and a pair of AS boots with commando for rain and moderate snow. I also wear overshoes pretty often with my other shoes.

When it's really bad, I have a pair of wellies and Columbia snow boots.

Swims tend to get good reviews.

Yes this is vastly preferable in any real bad weather imo. Wind blows the salt everywhere here and I don't want salt touching any part of my shoes not just the sole. Galways and thorpes are best though

Damn, I just realized the price of the burnhams was $350 more than my vintage cedar ones. So hard to justify $1.5k for a boot. Even my Thorpes weren't that much lol.

The new site also has a great configurator for MTO, and payment plans available too!

How very accommodating, G&G  :D
