We don't have six yet. Six is the minimum for a G&G GMTO. Eight is the number of available slots.

I just heard from Dean, any future GMTOs will have to be in consecutive width, and in either D, E or F only. Sorry.

Nothing to be sorry about, thank you for taking the effort to get a definitive answer for us (me).

Now I can focus on my own MTO concepts, and stop dreaming about GMTOs...

It has no connection to real antelope. It is a thick, waxy, oily leather that is damn near indestructible and great for hard-use footwear - but the "Kudu" aspect is just marketing.

Are you sure?

As sure as I can be short of direct confirmation from whomever supplies the material to Alden.

The swatch pictured at the posted link does not look much like what Alden calls "Kudu" - I have a pair.

Nor does my pair look like actual Kudu shoes that I have seen.

Finally, the Alden sales rep from whom I purchased my pair pretty much acknowledged that they were not actual antelope hide, but rather processed to give that effect.

And none of this is to knock the Alden material itself - I think it is a fantastic choice for a hard working boot as it is damned near indestructible and requires no care beyond the occasional wipe down with a damp cloth. I kind of wish I had chosen a taller boot instead of a chukka for my pair.

Anyway, enough about Alden - are you guys tired of Burnham pics yet?

My earlier photos were taken in the early morning where the sunrise may have contributed to some enhanced redness in the pics. So I tried again in early evening - well before sunset - to see if more neutral ambient lighting might yield different results.

Nope. Still a lovely red undertone to this shade.

Well, we tried to tell that you were bad.

It's about time you admitted it though. LOL

@mw313

Thanks for the direct confirmation. So then does that mean only single MTO with standard MTO fee for me to buy any model of shoe in my size?

Can a restock model that you or GG has as a standard offering be ordered in my size as a normal priced order or does that need to be MTO as well?

Check above but maybe we would be allowed to order standard offering shoes in our size/width at times. Let's see what @Leaves says.

Just so you guys know, the GMTO GG for the Walkton in vintage cherry with the Rosewood kudu on the MH71 is still available by Skoak for anyone who wants to be a part of it whole there is still a bit of the rare kudu leather left.

There are only 8 slots available and about 5 or 6 are already filled. So hurry if you want a chance at them.

This is the set up but on the Walkton model (instead of ST James) but with the calf leather parts in vintage cherry (instead of cedar) and the kudu in the rosewood shade (instead of tan)

Very good to see the Walkton Cherry / Kudu GMTO is on. I just placed my order. Hopefully we get to 6!
