My wish list (in no particular order of desire - I want them all!). A guy can dream inlove.gif -- Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Burnham - I have them in mole suede, open to polished calf in any colour, no medallion preferred

Cliffe with swan neck - open to any colour, suede or calf

Gatsby or Walkton on deco last (or another wingtip like Westminster) - top choice right now is a two-tone, but open to monochrome in almost any colour calf other than navy, black or voak

Holden - what can I say about this exquisite shoe? As long as it has a swan neck, I'm down for any colour except v chestnut (already have it on order)

Gable - this is for me about the fiercest shoe G&G does, and for my taste the V-cap with the deco is a bit too much to handle. But a straight cap like this one I'd had originally made up by Nick? I'd be down for it in any colour

Oakham in the deco last - I don't own any monkstraps, and I like the idea but I'm not sure about how it works for my high instep. A GMTO would cut the risk for me, so I'd be interested. Any colour including calf-suede combos, captoe or plain

Great! I think that either a midnight blue with a darkened toe and heel would be great and probably get more people involved, but the racing green is dark enough to not mix with the antique olive that you have from EG either. My St. C is going to be more like an Antique olive but with a darker toe as shown in the pics I posted on the ST. C thread.

Actually when looking at them this close together, do you think that the Racing green is too similar to the darker Green by St. C? I'm thinking more of the midnight blue just because I don't want to take a chance that they would be too similar. I could always get a pair in Racing green in the future after I actually have my St. C and can show you guys the final shots of them:

Here is the GG Racing Green:

Here is the midnight blue Gable and as you can see, they can go from a light blue to dark blue or even have some grey tones in it. I personally like the variation from lighter blue to very very dark blue at the toe and heel so from the front or back it looks quite dark and clean but from the side, one can see the shading develop and would add a lot of character. This is my first choice!!!

And just since you were asking her are some pics of Vintage Rioja just because you wanted to see it on some shoes. Here it is on a Hove and then my Canterbury boots from when I first got them:

Check above and see what you think. I love the darker too.

mw313 I am open for the dark blue pic that you posted above. They grey one is over lapping with at James 2 vintage pearl. So I am game for racing green or dark blue which ever. The green will be different from your st crisp I have seen them in real life it has little yellow tone to them so they are different in real life. But what ever you want to do I am fine with it.

I like that dark blue the most as well! I'm not a big fan of the one with more grey in it but just wanted to show the variety. I agree in that it could overlap with our Pearl St. James II and I don't want overlap either.

What has the little yellow tone to it, the St. Crispin's?

Regardless, I'd prefer the blue and think it does more for the Gable that is on the TG73.

wait, you ordered a jodhpur on the MH71 last in that color or you are thinking of it? I thought you were waiting to get more MH71 pairs until you get some of them in to make sure the fit is good.

ooof - some exquisite shoes here. I would love to see that Holden in Navy - will hit the sweet spot. That Oakham is sweet as well - would love to see that one in vintage cherry.

BTW - Gable on deco last in midnight blue may be the most aggressive shoe ever made!

oh okay. did you make it to NYC to see them or was this another time?

But regardless, I think that midnight blue will be the best option for us so we know that there is no overlap at all and it just seems to suit the Gable on the TG73 more in my opinion.

I feel like the racing green looks better on the Gable when on the GG06 or MH71.

oh a stock model you mean? nice!!!

I can't do stock models so only MTO for me anyway. haha.

I'm still down for the Croc/Gator strap Jodhpur (TG73 or Deco) next year too, but I think the Gable (TG73) would be a cool pair to do to hold us over. lol
