Congrats!!
dddrees I love G&G TG73 it's very chiseled & sleek look also depends upon how it fits & looks on you. I went down half from 9.5US D to 9UKE E & it fits like a glove. And honestly I think getting the actual company shoes tree is definitely worth it vs woodland & other generic tree. Specially on EG, G&G etc high end shoes but I would not bother for tree for carmina shoes. Generic tree works in that regard. Also I must crazy to compare G&G to carmina lol

dddress so far I have not been disappointed today I got G&G & AS DM suede both are posted. But soon I shall have my two vass mto coming in soon. Crossing my finger & I will post pic once I get them in. Week ago also I placed an order of Stcrispin and then I will compare them all. Mto shoes take time & fellow SF member give me hard time. And thank you for pointing me at right direction regarding shoes & specially EG icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Glad to hear the TG73 works for you both with regards to look and more importantly fit. I still kind of wish you were able to get the St James on the MH71 as I would have loved to hear your comparison. However with all the discussion lately with regards to both of these Lasts and more specifically @mw313 description I have a much better idea where I stand prior to getting the MH71 since I already have a shoe on the TG73.

Once again congrats, for at least I think this one of if not the best Adelaide out there.

I'm glad I was of some help. At this level you really can't go wrong as long as it fits, and your willing to spend the extra money. The sleeker Lasts, the designs, the attention to detail, the better quality, and the better quality components are simply to easy to see. As long as the shoes fit your style and you actually get use out of them then this is all that really matters. Having a bit wider smile and a little more spring in your step is just another big plus.

Trust me I tried & placed order for them but couldn't get them. I don't mind picking up some thing else on that last also. But not sure were to look skoak has wholecut Sinatra but it's in a same last. Also what do you think of EG Dover DB? I really wish I would of gotten kuddu & cherry calf G&G those were very nice or even the grey looking at James. We're do you go to even buy them at? But definitely looking for Shannon 82 last for this fall. Sorry all over the place.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say Edward Green Dover DB (Double Monk). For a St James in Kudu I would contact Skoak. @Leaves said G&G was going to get a lighter shade of Kudu in at some point. The question is what does it look like, what would you pair it with (the other kudu was tan and it was paired with Cedar calf. I'm not sure I would want a St James in all Kudu or not. Anyway I would contact @Leaves as he seems to have the info on this. A Shannon would certainly be nice as I have often thought about it but as of yet not pulled the trigger. Im just not convinced it works for me and which one I would get yet.

I think they are called Fulham DB by EG sorry should of clearified that. And yea you are very right about at James kudu color. Didn't think about that till you pointed it out. Tan kudu would be very sweet also if you can still get them with out mto.

I'm fairly certain a wider width increases volume throughout the shoe--ball width, instep, and heel. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I am not sure, but from my experience (narrow widht) from other RTW makers  the heel cup remains the same.

Pretty sure G&G ran out of Tan color, but there again @Leaves would be the one you would need to contact. Personally of all the Monks I've seen from Edward Green the only monk I would get would be the Westminster, I'm not really a fan of any of the other styles.

I will email them & ask them I just ask because I have never seen DM with Dover concept or I can get Westminster in different color If I can find them I will get it. Trying to avoide same color as antique oak same as Dover if I can but do like Westminster from soak.

I don't remember seeing any Edward Green monks with a hand sewn apron. I understand, but personally if I were to get a pair I would probably go with DOAK for that shoe. It just seems to work rather well with the Westminister

Ah, thank you.

I knew I couldn't definitively there wasn't one, I just couldn't remember if there was for sure or not.

Then again with their extensive back catalogue that's probably the case for most things. LOL
