^ Nice collection.

Interesting that the toe box on your TG73 Sinatra was made a little roomier. I too find the MH71 the best fit but prefer the TG73 on some designs. May be a request to consider in future...

.. i seem to recall that they can strap a thin strip of material (cork / leather ?) on the last in the toe box area or stretched it.

Does anyone have any information or pictures as to how a pair of GG Stingray shoes crease ?

The Blue coloured ones are just stunning.... but i have never seen any pictures of what they look like after some use.

I would love to seem the do a slightly softer chisel last. Think deco chisel size on a standard last. also find tg73 and mh71 a bit too large but that is due to my shallow feet.

There never seems to be much love on here for dg70. regardless of what I buy I always prefer it on dg70 (astaire, bramhall, Rothschild and Canterbury) I am actually about to order a vintage Rioja St James (new pattern)

Some of this does come down to sizing preference but I could get around this, really to me it is my first choice.

For dress shoes I easily prefer the dg70 over the tg73.

TG73 versus MH71 dilema ?

I find that some colours / styles look better in the more pronounced "chiselled" TG73 than MH71  and visa versa but ultimately, they first have to fit and then look good.
No point paying all that money and suffering.  The TG73 fit in the toe box is not for everyone even with my slim size 9 foot but can be solved.

After visiting Nick and spending a couple of hrs at his store to check sizes i ordered the following :

The St James II (TG73) were my first pair and after delivery, quite a challenge in the toe box and rubbing heel (not like the fit in the shop), but after mink oil and a fair bit of breaking in they now fit very well.
I would not swap them for a MH71.

The Grant (TG73) were my second pair and broke in easier.
If i had my time again, i would have got these in St James II, V Rioja but on a MH71 simply because i think that whole combination looks better in V Rioja.

The Uppingham II (MH71) were my third pair and are a dream fit / look straight out of the box.
I would not swap them for TG73.

The Sinatra Hatch (TG73) were my fourth pair and i requested Nick to arrange a little extra room in the toe box during mfr.
They fit very well out of the box and after walking around the house they broke in and are a perfect fit.
I would not swap them for a MH71.

For my foot, the MH71 is a perfect fit.
The TG73 can be tweaked".

Rest is down to looks and your style of dress.

Enjoy !

Great selection of combinations and good advise for the many people who are unsure about certain lasts

The DG70 can work very well for certain styles. I have a Canterbury on the DG70 that I think works well but it love the TG73 and MH71 for many more styles. That is part of what makes GG so different from other makers' styles.
