Thanks for the info ambulance!  Glad to see someone else had a similar experience to mine.  I too thought there was no way they would work after breaking them in.  I believe sizing down half will work for me.  Cheers.

Really nice Chelsea. I'm guessing it's not the Burnham, correct? Looks shorter.

I saw some previous discussion in this thread that the GG06 generally fits like the MH71. I have a MH71 Cambridge in an F width that I find nicely snug over the instep but perfect in length. I am considering a derby but it is only offered in an E width. Any opinions on whether I should stay with my current size even on the lesser width and give the open lacing a try or size up a half size to account for the lesser width? Or, should I accept that these won't work and move on? Thanks.

edit: flights to London are only $660 might be worth a weekend trip!

You answered your own question, they probably will not work.

In the old days of the Barney's GG clearance sale, i bought a black Arran chukka in E width, hoping it would work. It did not, but it was a lovely looking shoe that i wanted to desperately work. Had to sell it for a loss in the end (even with the sales price).

These are the unfortunate lessons we all have to learn along the way... frown.gif
