Yes, this sounds like a good one. I won't be joining, but good luck.

Are we confirmed on the Oakham guys? Everyone an E fit? Need 6 consecutive for first batch.

Leaves - to clarify, E width is equivalent to us D width correct?  General recommendation is to size down half from US?  I can always email the store but from what I've read that seems to be the consensus.  Thanks.

If they've got the 6, and subject to seeing the final specs, can I tag along as an F width?

Deadline for beating the price increase is looming quickly, is it not?

I size down a whole size from us size or 0.5 from Alden Barrie

Interesting.  I had a pair of loafers on the KN14 last one full size down from us which is half size down from barrie and they were too tight.  Do you have any shoes on this last? Low instep, narrow feet? Thanks.

I take all gg last in this size & they are indeed more snug than EG equivalent but both eventually break in well.0.5 size up will relax you at first but instep will become too high.

Thanks for the info.  I wore the pair I had for about a week on carpet and just felt the toebox was way too tight.  It could have broken in enough but I just wasn't comfortable.  I think the little bit of room - if anything a thin insole would solve slightly too big.  Thanks for your help.

But I worry the length issue, especially buckle is less capable in regulating instep, maybe a brickenstock heel pad can help a bit

So the length was actually my exact concern sizing down one full size.  I am exactly 9.5D on my right foot and ever so slightly bigger on the left foot.  I like my shoes snug so I generally go with 9.5D in AE, 9.0D Alden Barrie, 8.5UK Carmina etc.  I think being right on the line at 9.5D on the brannock is why going down one full size for me in GG does not work.  Of course everyone's feet are different but that was my experience.

Of course. Please post in Oakham thread. Some details have changed.

My feet are the same as yours, except my left foot is slightly smaller than my right. I tried on a pair of G&G St. James in size UK8.5E at Leffot. They felt like rock-climbing shoes (i.e., very, very tight). No way they would work even with extensive wear and break-in.
