I recently ordered a Pearl Grey MTO. I still don't understand if Vintage Grey is actually a different color. Have to check with Dean.

It lists it as two different leather options on the BE site, but it looks like a darker more burnished version of pearl grey. It might be the same leather base, but a different finish on the vintage...

Sounds like it is time for Skoak to get into the boot tree business.  I don't care what color or finish.  I just want them!

The Molto Monk is an interesting and creative design but I can't imagine the wear and tear that the underside of the removable straps will receive with constant use. What if you end up stepping on a puddle while wearing it with the croc straps?

If you buy that shoe I'm pretty sure you have people that step in puddles for you

Did GG ever offer boot trees? I have two pairs and they are both Bespoke England branded, never seen any GG branded.

The reason they don't exist for RTW is because GG told Nick at BE to stop selling them. GG wanted it to be a bespoke only option. I guess unless GG says it's ok to start selling them again we won't see them on the market.

For the folks who have bought more than one pair of G&G's, are the prices that SkoAB is offering (~$900USD before the ~25% price increase in March) as good as it's going to get for new G&G?

I have always admired G&G but it never was any more than aspirational, as it was difficult to reconcile the north of $1k price tag. I see the occasional lightly used pair pop up on the marketplace for less, but given the strength of the USD and impending price increase, just wanted to get some input on whether this is an opportune time to turn aspiration to reality. Thanks.

Without a sale, yes. But they do go on sale every once in awhile (last I saw was Bergdorf right after Christmas). But as with every sale, you're very limited on models and sizes
