@JubeiSpiegel

Can you comment on the blue colors from G&G. I know you have midnight blue and navy hatch grain smile.gif but do you have G&G regular navy calf? I am interested in comparison between navy and navy hatch grain?

I went into the G&G shop today to pick up a pair of shoe trees to go with my new Oak Hatch Hoves from Skoak (thanks Leaves)

Couldn't believe that the price is now £180 - for the new red design without the metal ring (which justified some of the cost imho on the previous style)

I've bought 2 pairs before for £130 and £135 in 2013, which was steep, but this is daylight robbery

People in the store were saying they are handmade, hence the cost. Does that sound right?

Anyway, not sure I have the appetite for £180, so does anyone havt any recommendations for alternative? Skoak trees are more like £65. How close are they to G&G lasts (MH71 in this case)

It is patina color, not stock color.

Here is a GG blue leather comparison:

Top to Bottom: Navy Hatch Grain, Navy calf, Midnight Blue Calf

Hope this helps...

My Skoak trees seem to fit TG73 standard width (UK E) just fine.

@nickrut said he would sign up  for a Gable in racing green, and I am ok with that (I prefer darker color like navy,black, racing green is fine may be vintage rioja? depends which color is the most popular)

this pair is on dg70 last

Honestly, I'd rather get the Warwick instead of the Gable and I would probably choose the combo as is above^
